Calliandra Californica - Baja fairy duster (5 Gallon)

About this item

Add a splash of vibrant color to your garden with Baja Fairy Duster, an eye-catching evergreen shrub native to Baja California. Its naturally sprawling, rounded form and finely divided, deep green foliage create a soft, graceful texture in the landscape.

The standout feature is its brilliant red, powder-puff flowers, made up of long, silky stamens that resemble delicate feather dusters. These striking blooms attract hummingbirds and bring lively movement to the garden, making this shrub an excellent choice for pollinator-friendly and wildlife gardens.

With its low-growing habit and spreading canopy, Baja Fairy Duster works beautifully in desert landscapes, along slopes, in mixed shrub borders, or as a colorful ground-level accent. Drought-tolerant once established, it thrives in sunny locations and requires relatively little maintenance, making it a wonderful addition to water-wise gardens.
